I am a Cat Woman. My self-appointed mission in life is to save the feline world! To accomplish this mission, I get cats fixed. Perhaps my mission might be slightly delusional. This blog is a mishmash of wishful thinking, rants, experiences as I remember them and of course, cat stories and cat photos. I have a nonprofit now, to help keep the cats here cared for and to fix community cats. Happy Cat Club formed in 2015. Currently, we are on a mission to fix 10,000 cats.
The big ugly, that's what I call the budget bill just passed by our lovely regime. It guts food assistance, housing and low income medi...
Adorable kittens-they are so lucky to have been found by you!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your fireworks and forest photos, too.
Take care. Kay
I'm glad I didn't give up on the "coccidia" kittens. Well, I whined about the tremendous work and mess of such an outbreak, but I never would really have given up. Now to get them fixed and find them homes.
ReplyDeleteAre you doing anything fun on the 4th, Cats?
Soooo very cute, indeed! I wish I were able to take them all, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the current "Mayor of Cuteville" over here wouldn't so much appreciate the "rescue"! :) Love the blog! :)
ReplyDeleteIs the Mayor of Cuteville by any chance your hubby? Rise up! Revolt! Then come get some of these cuties for yourself. Don't leave them all to me. I could smother in cuteness!
ReplyDeleteDo you mind telling me how you get all these kitties fixed moneywise? I also have no money but want to help cats, can you tell me how you do this? Thanks
ReplyDeleteMargaret in KY
Well Margaret, currently, I have a grant from the city I live in, funneled through a nonprofit in Portland, that does fundraising for spay/neuter and are the usual source of my funds, but only for spay/neuter. You have to hook up with a nonprofit that raises funds for spay/neuter, or form a nonprofit and raise funds with your own nonprofit. Or, be independently really rich, which neither of us are.
ReplyDeleteOr you can see if you can find a vet who will do some fixes every month for a low cost, then try to find people to sponsor spays.
