Piper--a gorgeous brown tabby male kitten.
Laid back Rogue with brother Piper.
Rogue and Piper again.
Sashi Silver, the only girl of the four tabbies from Shedd. She's actually the only girl of the seven kittens I took in the two Shedd litters. Bad Black Mom's three were all boys, too.
Feather, the other tabby on white wrecking yard girl, naps, with Crocket, a brown tabby Shedd boy, and Pokey, of Bad Black Mom's litter.
Pongo, from the back barn at BS.
Cajun, a little girl from the BS back barn. These three are survivors of something distorted that dismembered two siblings.
Wily. Wily and sister Cajun look almost alike except wily has lipstick coloration on her chin.
Rogue and Piper, both brown tabby boys from Shedd, look up at me, along with Muffles, one of the wrecking yard kitten girls. All these kittens are now showing no signs of the coccidia that ravaged them, when I took them off that porch in Shedd.
Muffles, one of the three wrecking yard girls, now five weeks old! Maybe it's six.
I am a Cat Woman. My self-appointed mission in life is to save the feline world! To accomplish this mission, I get cats fixed. Perhaps my mission might be slightly delusional. This blog is a mishmash of wishful thinking, rants, experiences as I remember them and of course, cat stories and cat photos. I have a nonprofit now, to help keep the cats here cared for and to fix community cats. Happy Cat Club formed in 2015. Currently, we are on a mission to fix 10,000 cats.

Adorable kittens-they are so lucky to have been found by you!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your fireworks and forest photos, too.
Take care. Kay
I'm glad I didn't give up on the "coccidia" kittens. Well, I whined about the tremendous work and mess of such an outbreak, but I never would really have given up. Now to get them fixed and find them homes.
ReplyDeleteAre you doing anything fun on the 4th, Cats?
Soooo very cute, indeed! I wish I were able to take them all, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the current "Mayor of Cuteville" over here wouldn't so much appreciate the "rescue"! :) Love the blog! :)
ReplyDeleteIs the Mayor of Cuteville by any chance your hubby? Rise up! Revolt! Then come get some of these cuties for yourself. Don't leave them all to me. I could smother in cuteness!
ReplyDeleteDo you mind telling me how you get all these kitties fixed moneywise? I also have no money but want to help cats, can you tell me how you do this? Thanks
ReplyDeleteMargaret in KY
Well Margaret, currently, I have a grant from the city I live in, funneled through a nonprofit in Portland, that does fundraising for spay/neuter and are the usual source of my funds, but only for spay/neuter. You have to hook up with a nonprofit that raises funds for spay/neuter, or form a nonprofit and raise funds with your own nonprofit. Or, be independently really rich, which neither of us are.
ReplyDeleteOr you can see if you can find a vet who will do some fixes every month for a low cost, then try to find people to sponsor spays.
