Vista House/Crown Point visits are fun when its windy. I learned that as a kid. Course, as kids, we clung to rocks out on the south jetty, near where we lived, to let waves break over us and thought that was great fun. Fridays were a big deal, growing up, because the cheese factory sold curds for almost nothing. I suppose what I grew up thinking is fun isn't what many people think is fun.
Here are some wind videos from Crown Point taken by others:
Very strong and resilient vegetation.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how vegetation survives such winds, often cold ones too. But it does, by just going with it I guess.
DeleteI have never liked strong winds, but I can see how some would find them invigorating.
ReplyDeleteWhatever you find fun... We all have things we enjoy. I shake my head at people who like to go places that are crowded, like concerts. I don't find that fun, but I can understand that others do.
ReplyDeleteI used to go to local concerts but became uninfatuated with the blankee concerts, where people spread their blankee, defend their space, yell at you if you touch their space, yell at you if you stand up to dance...etc. Doesn't anyone go to concerts to wildly dance anymore, move with the music?
