Yesterday, a friend and I went and split some nachos at a Mexican restaurant. We both got a Tecata in cold salted glass with lime. Oh how I love a cold Tecata. Her friend is in the ICU so we then drove out to her friends rural place to feed her cats. After that we went to a nearby nursery, to wander mainly. But she said the guy who lives on their property had given her $20 for a plant for me. I was thrilled, of course, and chose the flower pot in the above photo.
I also bought for myself three small flowers in flimsy plastic disposal pots.
I didn't plant them yesterday when I got back home, as intended. I fell asleep until after dark, on the futon instead. Today I tried valiantly to make a good start on the day. But as I said in the previous post about today, I failed and went back to bed after cleaning litter boxes. I didn't get going til late afternoon, but at least I did get going. Someone in an online garage sale was giving away large rock they were removing from their yard. I went and got two recycle totes of it.
I came home and spread out some new pot soil in a couple of the beds, then spread a few stones in too, then planted the flowers. Looks ok.
I went to the park then, and saw two cats, one needs fixed and I don't know what the other one needs, if anything at all. The other one is sleek and long hair black but skinny with a collar on, but it hangs loosely, like it wasn't fit properly or else the cat has lost weight.
The new cat with the loose collar. Isn't he or she beautiful! |
I suspect that you NEEDED that sleep.
ReplyDeleteLove the garden.
Mr Collar doesn't fit is indeed beautiful. I would worry about that collar getting caught on something and choking him though. Hopefully if it does get caught he can shrug out of it.
I thought about that, EC, about it catching on something its so loose. I doubt it will be on the cat long for that reason. I first saw him or her clear down in the camping area so I hope this is not a dumped cat or one who got loose from an RV.
DeleteA nice gardening effort. Seems like you will be watering them often.
ReplyDeleteI imagine. Til they die off. I'm pretty good at killing plants.
DeleteYou had good taste in picking out your flowers. I like the rocks you have strewn around. A nice touch.
ReplyDeleteThanks L and L.
DeleteAll in all, it sounds like you did just what your body needed.
ReplyDeleteI hope your pretty plants thrive. What a nice gesture by that gentleman. :) Best wishes to those kitties. Our girls don't have collars these days but I used the breakaway style when Luna, Tilly, and Jezebel were younger.
