Click the post titles to go to a local paper story with links two slideshows. One is photos of local flooding, including many of Scio's major problems with Thomas Creek running down Main street.
Also shown is flooding on Conifer Blvd. in Corvallis, along with Lancaster and Cambridge streets, off Conifer.
There are a few photos of sand bagging on a flooded Albany street also.
The second slideshow puts a lump in my throat. It is photos of the search for the car that somehow ended up in Periwinkle creek, then under Queen street in the culvert. At least it is thought to still be under there. One man and his child made it out alive. A young mother and her child did not. The child's body was found in the night while the young woman's body was found this morning. It can make a person just want to sob.
I am a Cat Woman. My self-appointed mission in life is to save the feline world! To accomplish this mission, I get cats fixed. Perhaps my mission might be slightly delusional. This blog is a mishmash of wishful thinking, rants, experiences as I remember them and of course, cat stories and cat photos. I have a nonprofit now, to help keep the cats here cared for and to fix community cats. Happy Cat Club formed in 2015. Currently, we are on a mission to fix 10,000 cats.
