Reports are coming in that cats are being killed on San Felicia also, which is near the other location where 20 or so wonderful cats were killed, apparently by a yellow long hair lab/retriever mix. There is a woman whose cat is missing on San Felicia who claims she has a neighbor with a dog matching that description, on Pitt Road, but no one knows for sure if it is the killer dog or not and I have not seen this dog, nor has the man who saw the long hair yellow dog on his porch twice in the night after which he found dead cats. He intends to get a look at this dog, to see if it matches the one he saw on his porch twice.
Another person on San Felicia apparently had four cats killed in her yard.
I don't know if the dog is the one who lives on Pitt or if the killings have any relationship to a found dog ad in the paper, stating a long haired dog had been found on Knox Butte. Someone called the person running that ad, who said the owner had claimed the dog, that it was a long haired German Shepherd. I know Shepherds can sometimes be light or yellow colored. I don't know if the one who ran loose on Knox Butte and was found was light colored or not.
I'm very tired and extremely angry at dog owners who let vicious dogs run loose.
I am a Cat Woman. My self-appointed mission in life is to save the feline world! To accomplish this mission, I get cats fixed. Perhaps my mission might be slightly delusional. This blog is a mishmash of wishful thinking, rants, experiences as I remember them and of course, cat stories and cat photos. I have a nonprofit now, to help keep the cats here cared for and to fix community cats. Happy Cat Club formed in 2015. Currently, we are on a mission to fix 10,000 cats.

The people who bought our house are on Pitt. I know they had big dogs but I thought they were St. Bernards. The property is not fenced. It is the little yellow house on Pitt near Knox. Good Lord, we left them with a year's supply of cat food for Snake Oil (the 16 yr old cat that has lived there since it was a baby). I certainly hope Snake Oil is OK and will be checking on her soon. She is a black cat that knew the place like the back of her paw and was very friendly. Loved my dog to death.
ReplyDeleteI hope she is OK. She was a great mouser and took care of the place very well.
