Only Ebony remains here with me from yesterday's fixes. He's recuperating from neuter and entropion surgery. Today, he's mainly sleeping. He also enjoys eating a lot.
Ha! Who doesn't! Especially in this weather.
More cold and ick today. What can I say?
I slept in til 8:00 a.m., unheard of for me. No apologies.
What do I think about when I'm too tired and too bored? Nothing good. Sometimes I obsess on the state of the world, like Putin and his hormonal issues. Still trying to exert dominance and the world seems blind to all the people being blown apart and destroyed for life, if not killed, as a result. And China saber rattling too, over Taiwan and trying to get in good with Russia since Russia wants Ukraine like China wants Taiwan. Two of a kind, those countries. I can't imagine what its like to live in either country, where individuality is smushed to smithereens. Be like everybody else, love thy despicable tyrannical leader, worship said leader, do nothing out of line, say nothing out of line. Faithfully march off to die for him while he sits safe and sound in luxury, pounding his chest, and laughing maniacally.
Democracy may be loud and messy, but at least we can be who we be, for the most part. Sometimes I worry the gun nuts and the religious zealots will eventually ruin our country too.
It's crazy people claim to love children so much they'll ban abortion but not make sensible cutbacks on access to lethal war weapons to protect them. I look at the little kids on this block and cannot even stand the image of them facing some crazy gun nut with an assault rifle at their school. Their mothers should not have to ever worry about that. I think about going into large stores now, when its busy, and look at people like what do they have under that coat and are they disgruntled crazy gun nuts about to go off.
So...I try not to get bored so I don't think of such things.
I should rather complain about the weather, than think too much about world problems I can do nothing about.
When I returned the young black male they call Baby Black this morning, I saw a gray tux with half length tail. I believe its another male and has been chasing after one of the two remaining unfixed black teens. It's impossible to tell the younger blacks apart since they're all in the age range of 9 to 12 months of age. There are at least four left there who need caught and fixed still.
Yesterday, snow did fall as I was headed to the clinic and again on the way back. It was mixed in rain and did not stick. Later we had hail too, but mostly just more rain, sometimes pounding rain. Same again today.
The Daffodils think spring is here.
I began cleaning photos off my phone to make space. I like some of them a lot and probably have posted some before. I put them into a favorite photo file. Here are a few of those. Apologies if I've posted them too many times.

Then there are these two photos. This was Chester, who was abandoned in the park last summer. When I met him he looked so pathetic and lost, had no idea what to do. He wasn't neutered. The feeder lady put him in a carrier and met my friend with him. She took him in and got him neutered and was horrified to discover he is FIV positive, but asked her friends who wanted to adopt him, if they'd adopt him anyhow. They did and my goodness, look at his ever after, the second photos she posted online, urging others to give an older kitty a chance. He's in heaven, with a great home.
The dump at the park before last, Tipper, now lives with the feeder lady. She carries him around her place like a big baby. Unfortunately there is another tame lost soul who has been dumped there. We're out to find him a place, so he can get out of the brush.
"Putin and his hormonal issues". My first laugh for the morning.
ReplyDeleteThe first cat photo is a classic of arranged and cooperative cats.
Yeah, that's not common here, that there's any cooperation.
DeleteNever apologize for sharing photos of your family. ~nods~ Repeats or not, they always make me smile. :D Thanks again for all your good works.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteSo sad to hear of abandoned pets. What is wrong with people?
ReplyDeleteLots is wrong with people, at least around here. Its so sad to see an abandoned pet cat as they have no idea what to do, where to sleep or eat. Some go into what resembles shock.
DeleteProblems that we have no influence over are the scariest. Good advice to keep busy with other things. Great pictures of the cats and daffodils. I find yellows very hard to photograph, so I'm impressed.
ReplyDeleteI try to stay away from the news. The focus is on the bad happening. I don't need to hear about it, because, as I mentioned, nothing I can do about it, especially world problems. Thanks on the daffodil yellows. This time I used my phone camera. It's good at close ups but only in good light.
