Again Forecasted Snow No Show

We had snow in the forecast again but we didn't get even a flake.  How disappointed I was, to wake up once again, hopeful for snow, to see none.   Darn.

I had five cats in the garage for todays' five reservations.  Easy cats.  Contained by their caretakers.  Best way I think.  Big fan of it in fact.  I become the overnighter and the transporter only.   I like it.

So anyhow, Pete from Albany is connected to the gas station, where I stopped to get gas after being all day at the Shedd colony a couple weeks back.  There was a cat there and I asked the attendant about her.  She said she was about to have kittens, in fact might have had them that day already.  Shoot, I thought.  She had a male needing fixed though, so Pete is getting fixed today.   Maybe next time I have appointments the three running around the gas station can be fixed.  Two are previous offspring of the female whose latest kittens haven't been seen and may have perished in the severe weather since she had them.

The other four are from a different colony in Shedd.  Might be 30 plus there needing fixed, but the first four went today and she is getting FCCO reservations for the rest, as soon as possible.  Nice lady, nice cats, just they all need fixed as soon as humanely possible.

Anyhow that's about it.  I plan to sleep for a few hours then do the usual chores and then go get the cats.  Nothing else.

Max, a boy, getting neutered today

Gidget from Shedd

Leo from Shedd

Jack from Shedd

Pete, from Albany

Update, so I remember.  Leo is now Cleo, a girl.

  1. If only you could always have the caretakers corral the cats for you. It sounds like you've got an easier time of it today.

  4. We had a cat once whom we named Theodore. Later he/she became Theodora when the vet told us she was female, not male. No snow to speak of here, either. I guess that means that you won't have to worry about slick roads during your appointments today.

    1. Yay Theodora! No slick roads at all. We had a teensy amount of snow this morning, but it was pure slush. Guess we're going to miss all the fun (or mess some would say).
