I drove them up after taking three more Ridgeway cats to the FCCO clinic in Portland, to be fixed.
From there, I took off for a place beyond Scapoose.
It was out there, in the hills, and no cell coverage either in that area. But I found it.
The property is so quiet and beautiful---I just loved it.
There were old dog kennels in one out building, and a room perfect for the cats to acclimate. She'd done it up for them so wonderfully, with a cat tree, rugs, hidey hole beds, a table, litter boxes and they can sit on that table and stare out the window at their new turf.
Once acclimation time is over, they will be able to come and go to that same room. Oh my gosh, I've never seen anything so nice for some cats who were basically living in a human trash pile and sometimes getting fed dog food, other times nothing.
Can you believe this? I was extremely grateful, to say the least, and full of happiness for these cats.
So long Lisa and Bart! |
So long Maggie and Marge! |
And so long Homer, too. Homer, the biggest boy, was also the biggest baby of the bunch. |
Both of the gray and whites are boys. The buff and white is a girl. Where are they going? Not sure yet. |
That is WONDERFUL news. It must have made you incredibly happy. Lucky cats that you stepped in, and now they have a wonderful life ahead.
