Ridgeway Cats

Well, for my records although little does it matter, here are the 13 fixed Sunday from the Ridgeway colony in Sweet home.  There were five girls in all.  Three calicos, a young brown tabby and an orange and white bobtail.

The rest were all boys and all various shades of orange except for one big bad black tux.  The youngest of them is in my bathroom.  They relinquished him and want him to get a home.  Thursday he'll go to Karen.

Sinbad, who will leave for a new life
There are at least four more up there who need caught and fixed, but that will be for another day, hopefully a day soon so its just done with.

I could only fit 21 of the 25 cats into my car to return yesterday.  So I held onto the smallest of the group, Sinbad plus three of the younger ones from the Marks Ridge colony.  Two of them have URI's, so its not bad they'll be here til Sunday when I head up there to return them and trap some other cats at a different location.   May as well make it one all in one trip since its quite a drive up there.

  1. Job well done. Sinbad has a face which could melt a thousand hearts. I suspect he will find a home quickly. I hope so.

    1. Thanks! Getting all these cats fixed sure helps out the people who feed them, and otherwise would face a cruel dilemma. And it helps out the individual cats of course who are far healthier minus reproducing, and getting vaccinated and free of parasites. And it helps the population as a whole, because people will not be desparately trying to give away the kittens produced, to other folks who probably would not ever get them fixed or get them into crowded and overwhelmed rescues and shelters. So its a big big help all around. To the environment too. Makes a huge huge difference on so many fronts, that it can be one of the most rewarding things a person could do.
