The former resident of the park did call tonight and will take Smokey, the Siamese kitten, and the black male kitten she calls Monkey. So that's six of 11 kittens placed so far, leaving the two orange tabbies, Sizzle and Wildfire, the two gray males, Atom and Eleven and the black male Shine. However there are still at least three gray kittens left at the colony to catch. But placing six of 11, plus one adult, that's a good thing.
Unable to raise anyone, including the disabled man, I went over to check/pick up my trap. Inside it, was kitten number twelve--yet another gray male. He has a URI, and seemed terribly relieved, to be with his kitten friends and safe, warm with lots of food available. He is now on antibiotics. But, getting rid of his fleas, earmites and worms, will do him more good in getting over his cold. Parasites suck the life out of little kittens. I killed his immediately and enjoyed doing so.
There are still at least two kittens out there, and one pregnant torti and maybe other adults. Tomorrow, two more kittens leave for their home--the torti kitten and the gray female kitten. The torti adult, spayed today, goes to join a black male kitten and a black female kitten at a barn home. Sunday, Monkey and Smokey, two more male kittens from the park leave. Six kittens and one adult will have left by Sunday. Leaving me six kittens here, with two more to catch. Some may have to return. Sadly.
Awww! Everyone's so cute!
