Photos below of the four females, all from Albany, up being fixed today. The first female is from down near the hospital and has two kittens I hope to get fixed tomorrow. The last three females are from a situation off Geary. KATA was actually called to an apartment complex last week, about three kittens, near death from heat stroke, sitting under a car, with their black and white mother. A kind man and his family took them in that day, gave them water and food, and Vicki and Doris, totally worn out from all day working cat issues, picked them up but had no time to chase down the mother, which is not something they, nor I, do. That is, take in kittens without getting the mom fixed.
So, when I discovered this person nearby, with multitudes of cats and saw the black and white female, I asked if she had kittens. At first the woman thought a neighbor had killed the three, then she said she had taken them across the street, or had them across the street. I asked her to describe the kittens and they were the same kittens. So now, that mom is up being fixed today and her kittens, well they are safe with KATA. And, thank goodness, KATA fixes every kitten prior to adoption.
Bottom line, four less fertile females in Albany as of today! And that is a good thing.
I am a Cat Woman. My self-appointed mission in life is to save the feline world! To accomplish this mission, I get cats fixed. Perhaps my mission might be slightly delusional. This blog is a mishmash of wishful thinking, rants, experiences as I remember them and of course, cat stories and cat photos. I have a nonprofit now, to help keep the cats here cared for and to fix community cats. Happy Cat Club formed in 2015. Currently, we are on a mission to fix 10,000 cats.
