Just three cats are up being fixed today. Two are from downtown Albany and one is from Harrisburg. The Harrisburg cat is the mother of some kittens the caretakers caught and brought to Sunday's FCCO clinic. However, they were unable to catch the mother. They finally did and she is being fixed today.
That situation in Myanmar is horrible. And it is a government run by the military who is making it hard for foreign nations to help bring aid to Myanmar citizens especially when Myanmar is failing to help them. This is lousy governing, government failing its citizens in a crisis. Like Katrina on steroids.
There is bad news in the valley also. 300 or more family wage jobs, at HP, are being terminated. And even more jobs may be lost if the mill in Halsey closes. Apparently it is in bankruptcy, loans are being called due, the company is desperately attempting to sell the plant and those better-than-service-sector-wage jobs may vaporize also.
Hard times for a lot of people.
I am a Cat Woman. My self-appointed mission in life is to save the feline world! To accomplish this mission, I get cats fixed. Perhaps my mission might be slightly delusional. This blog is a mishmash of wishful thinking, rants, experiences as I remember them and of course, cat stories and cat photos. I have a nonprofit now, to help keep the cats here cared for and to fix community cats. Happy Cat Club formed in 2015. Currently, we are on a mission to fix 10,000 cats.
