Six cats for Tomorrow

Today, after finally fixing the sink, I returned the abbytabby from Springfield back to his colony. I briefly tried to trap the torti there, but gave up after an hour, because I had to get up to Sodaville. I had already trapped five of the abandoned cats there and taken them to a Lebanon area woman who is going to make them barn cats. There were supposedly six more. The neighbors already had taken three of the tame ones to Humane Society of the Willamette Valley and were promised they would not be killed immediatley, but given a chance.

The three I trapped this evening are all tame. They were just shy from being abandoned. Two of them are already fixed, at least I'm fairly sure the black and white with rabbit soft fur and a flappy belly is a spayed female. The orange tabby on white is a delightful lap cat already neutered male. His brother, an orange tabby, is also very sweet and tame, but not neutered.

The neighbors said SafeHaven called them today and said they could take in some of them, so I am hoping these three tame kitties can go there tomorrow. It'd be a shame to take them to a barn home, especially since all three have predator alert colorations. This means they would not survive long as barn cats because their light colors make them easy targets for predation.

I left them neighbors three traps and set one of the three traps myself. There are supposed to be only three more, but there might be more. By 9:00 p.m., they called to say they had trapped three more cats. They trapped all three left I knew about. I'll let them borrow traps a couple more evenings to see if there are any they don't know about.

So that tenant abandoned a lot of nice cats when she moved. She abandoned some sweethearts who had no idea what to do when she gave them the boot and moved out. She allegedly now lives somewhere in Lebanon, maybe on Oak street. Watch out over there. She'll do this again to more cats and have no regard for their lives nor the lives of affected neighbors. Not right. She should have been charged with abandonment but the deputies refused to do a thing, according to another neighbor.

So anyhow, four Ty Abandons are going in tomorrow, along with the one gimp from HTN and the Siamese from Hull Oakes.
