Last week, I took five cats from the house with ten unfixed cats up to be fixed. Today, the other five are being fixed. The woman and her husband, who exist on one income, are very very happy about this. So their household is now fixed. Five boys, five girls.
I have not been able to get a hold of the other downtown Albany woman, who is involved with the strays where the mom with kittens was injured. There is still one adult and one older kitten to catch there.
A man called last night, who lives with his wife here in Albany and has two fixed male Siamese. They are interested in adopting Little Miss Sunshine. Sound like very nice people. They may come over tonight, to see her. That would be wonderful if she too gets a home.
I think some of the unfixed kittens from the BS, like Aces, Spidy's brother, and Breezy, Berry's sister, are just about up to spay/neuter weight, which is also good news.
I am still trying to place Meeko, Mooki, Purrly, Berry and Spidy--the fixed ones. I will then have Aces, Micah and Breezy, after they are fixed. Then I have the ringworm trio, Teddy, Scruffy and Jiggles, whom now I am not totally sure have ringworm. I had left a squirt bottle of 10% clorox and water in the room, which they knocked over and tore apart. I am now wondering if the spots on the girls feet are clorox water exposure reaction. I looked closely at photos I took early in the day yesterday. She had no hair loss between the toes earlier yesterday. So, well, I'm watching things. They may be clean, actually.
I am a Cat Woman. My self-appointed mission in life is to save the feline world! To accomplish this mission, I get cats fixed. Perhaps my mission might be slightly delusional. This blog is a mishmash of wishful thinking, rants, experiences as I remember them and of course, cat stories and cat photos. I have a nonprofit now, to help keep the cats here cared for and to fix community cats. Happy Cat Club formed in 2015. Currently, we are on a mission to fix 10,000 cats.
