Just the usual chaos here yesterday.
I drove Mister Calm, from the trailer park, to the Salem clinic. I had two spots but the teacher after a girl in her yard didn't catch her, or even see her. It was pouring rain violently at times. Yes, violent rain. I think that should be a song.
Normal cats are nowhere to be found in that kind of weather.
So I only took up Mister Calm, who had been trapped Monday by his feeder.
I'm about to return Mister Calm. In a few minutes. I'm having starting issues this morning. Not my car---me! This weather we've been having is sleep inducing. I'm not kidding. Why go out at all, I think to myself. Wet and cold. Windy. Just plain icky.
Fat Boy who has been in the recovery cage since Tuesday afternoon has been eating up a storm.
Then came last night. I watched Survivor, one of my guilty pleasures and this season, the winter season, cbs comes in on the antenna atop the house. The fall season I miss because cbs doesn't come in off the antenna in the fall. I don't know why.
Then I go out, to the garage, to take out the garbage. First thing I see is the backside of Fat Boy. He's out of the cage and heading for the far corner of the garage. Great. He's powerful enough to escape anything I put him in, I realize.
He was not hard to catch, but I did have to crawl under the workbench at the far corner to get him.
He'd had a good old time while running around. He'd eaten any food left out, for one thing. He has an endless appetite.
My cats aren't happy he's here. Could be a long ten more days. Maybe we'll cut his recovery time to a week even. I don't know. Chaos is pretty common dealing with cats and cat caretakers.
I have a few flowers blooming in my overgrown yard. I had it all mowed before the days of rain hit, which only made most of it grow up again. I love the flowers.

| The back, behind the cat yard, hasn't grown back too much. |
The neighbors fence, behind the property line chain link, is really falling apart and leaning into their yard. But its been in disrepair for years with two sections collapsing completely. I built two sections in front of the chain link to cover their sections behind it, that fell apart. That was a few years back.

| It may be unsightly but I feel its their business whether they want to fix it or not. It doesn't affect me. |

Sorry to hear about your adventure with Fat Boy.
ReplyDeleteAh well, it all turned out ok.
DeleteIt sounds like FatBoy is trying to make sure that he lives up to his name. 😸
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are pretty. Bleeding hearts have just started to bloom here.
LOL, and that he is. I offer him daily a buffet of dry food, treats, and two kinds of wet food. This afternoon, I'll cook up some chicken I have too, because I'm not sure he's got enough food choices or groups in the buffet.
DeleteSorry your weather's been icky. I hope things dry out soon. Summer will be here before you know it.
ReplyDeleteWell the forecast changed. Today it will get up to 60 degrees, which isn't great, but tomorrow and Sunday, the forecast is for 70! Then its back to rain.
DeleteI enjoyed the stories-- I was picturing you crawling around chasing the cat. I'm sure he was having a great deal of fun. Really nice flower pictures, too!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fast crawler. Fortunately he was quite ready to return to cage (where there was more food) and pretty much waited for me in that far corner.
DeleteBeautiful blooms. Fat Boy sounds like trouble!
ReplyDeletePrissy is lovely! Your flower photos are gorgeous!
