I got tagged in a local facebook post. The post showed a photo of a sad looking black tux massive male with a ruptured eye and curled over right ear.
He should have been neutered years ago, that was obvous. Fighting so many years had taken a toll.
The poster wanted help for him but didn't feed him herself. Someone came forward who does feed him and said she could pick him up. The poster took her a carrier. I asked radpets if they could help if he was caught and they said they could.
Anyhow, she got him in the carrier this morning. I sat here with him in my car until radpets said bring him now. That was just after noon. I picked him up again about 3:30. In that short time, they removed his ruptured eye, extracted six bad teeth, four of them fractured canines, and neutered him. He was also vaccinated and treated for fleas and worms. Whoa!
I couldn't believe they'd give him all that help instantly. They're an extraordinary clinic, that's for sure.
He got the works.
He's back here now. He'll recuperate in the garage cage for two weeks. He's a big baby, a sweetie.
A little bit shy.
We've so far had donations to cover about a third of the bill.
Money well spent. We all need some good news these days I feel.
I know I do.
I'll be entertaining him as a house guest for two weeks. The feeder lady wants him back, and he's obviously well fed. She calls him Fat Boy.
