Great news out today, just in time for Easter. Catholic Church leaders in Baltimore horrendously abused hundreds upon hundreds of children, with the protection of the church.
I'm not religious and very happy about that. I had my own trials and tribulations in the church I grew up in, which I left and I'm happy I did. Fortresses of morality? Ha! What a joke.
Anyhow, Ebony has been officially relinquished by his former caretaker for rehoming. First a friend in Portland will attempt to get him into a shelter with very high adoption rates up there. I figure every cat out of Linn County is a big huge win, the way they're treated around here and because there are zillions here just like Ebony. If she fails at that, he'll go to the plan B person who lives really close to where he was caught by tenants. In the meantime, he's lounging around my bathroom.
How many cats and kittens has that bathroom seen over the years? I don't know, but lots.
I guess now the forecast is that we'll have rain every day for the next week. Initially we were all so excited when the news said we might get up to the upper sixties or even 70 this weekend. Well that's out the window now.
I need to stay away from the news. Its getting to me lately, along with the weather.
I'm very happy Ebony now gets a chance, that's for sure.
I'll focus on that and push out all the other stuff. There are little good things going on everywhere out of sight and lots of really good people out there.
I often step away from the news for the sake of my sanity. You are right there are good things happening and good people about. And you are most definitely one of the good people.

DeleteThere is a lot of good in the world. Really. We are just constantly fed the bad. Good news for Ebony.
ReplyDeleteYup, a steady diet of it if you watch the news.
DeleteWe do need to focus on the positive. And you are a bright spot, for sure.
