The Very Loved Little Family

 One day later.....

Meow Village took all five kittens, including the last one I trapped, the little injured eye boy.

I drove the mom to the clinic this morning, getting off the freeway fast when I saw the ODOT sign stating Crash 4 miles north.  All lanes closed.  Take alternate route.   I went through Jefferson then and Turner, to get to the clinic.

I was going to take the injured eye boy kitten after that to Stayton, to Meow Village's vet clinic.  But Vivian., who was taking the mom cat, now named Church, into the clinic, said she was going to same clinic and could deliver him.  Huge help!

Turns out he needs his bad eye removed, just got word.  Thank goodness Meow Village could take them and get him immediate care.

I took his four siblings to Kathi, of Meow Village then, after leaving the mom and the injured kitten with Vivian at the clinic.  Mom would go in there, for her spay, then later, to Meow Village.  Bad eye kitten boy would then go to a private clinic Meow Village uses and be examined.   There, it was fast determined his bad eye would need removed.

These kittens are a pound and a half or so, six to seven weeks old, and they had eaten, between the five of them, NINE cans of wet food yesterday and last night.  Nine cans!   Where'd they put it?

So the two tabby and white girls and two tabby boys got settled in at Kathi's place.  They'll see if the mom is tame enough to place as a house cat and if not, she'll be placed as a barn cat.

Anyhow all good!

I think I'll sit on my brother for now thank you very much.

Six more kitties off the streets of Lebanon.  No more scrambling into holes to hide, jumping into dumpsters for food, running from people.  Now they can run to people for pets and cuddles and of course more wet food.  This little family is receiving the love big time now.

    1. I felt good about this one, EC, but I did get bailed out by Meow Village and Silverton Cat Rescue. I usually cannot and don't trap without a plan first, on having somewhere for them to go. Whew!
