One of my three oldest frail boys died this morning.
It was a blessing for him. He's suffered two years with intermittent IBS. Last night he suffered a terrible bout and this morning went into a seizure in my arms and passed on.
Mooki originally was from a colony off Spicer Wayside. The old lady wanted all the cats gone, but I fixed the rest and took only three teens who I felt I had little chance at taming, at their age. Two of them did tame and got homes, but then Mooki got ringworm from some kittens here (he loved kittens) and then just never got a home. That was a very long time ago.
I called the three boys The Spice Boys, before his brothers got a home.
Mooki had many many friends here over the years but his best friend remained Comet, who is still alive and two years older than Mooki. Comet's time left on earth is also very limited.
Mooki remained mostly wild til his old age, but in the last year, finally he'd come on my bed nights, but never let me hold him, although he would let me pet him for a bit sometimes.
Rest in peace, Mooki. We loved you here. We'll miss you.
Mooki, on the left, with Meesa, who has also gone on. |
Mooki below, Honey above. Honey too has passed. |
