Easy Day

Today I did almost nothing except return the two cats from the ditch colony, who roared out of the traps and under the fence.

I cleaned all the traps/carriers used and bought cat food to deliver three places but only delivered to one place.  Tomorrow, the other two.  One mission of my nonprofit is to supply food, when HCC is able, to caretakers in need.  However this is limited to those whose cats are fixed.

The rest of the day I napped and did cage laundry.

Tomorrow evening I start back on the 30 cat Lebanon colony.  She got 15 spots Friday.  So between tomorrow evening and Thursday afternoon, she and I will try our best to catch 15 and not waste those spots of hers.

I looked back in my records to review photos of the cats already caught to be fixed there.  8 so far.  Three girls and five boys.  I try to seal their faces and names in my mind effectively.   I will selectively trap, even though its only 8 now fixed of over two dozen, to be more efficient.  It's very important to know the cats in the colony, so that none are missed, whether by sight, or better, by photo.  Its one reason I name them, to know them.

We shall see how it goes.  She only estimated 30 in the colony, I believe, never did an actual count.

  1. Your easy day sounds pretty busy to me. Good luck with the rest of her cats. I do hope that you can catch them easily.

Preparation with remembering cats is a wise thing to do so you don't waste time and effort on the day.
