Clinic Day

Today I head up to the clinic with 15 cats.

I went to bed very early, first sleeping on the couch, then I moved to my bed.

I took two bags of cat food to Sweet Home yesterday and left one at the quarry.  No one was around, but I saw three of the cats, who looked good. I got them fixed some time ago, and got five out of there to various places. Two were kittens who went to Keithas Kitties.  A friend took two of the three teens and another friend took the third teen, to tame and adopt out to a friend of hers.  I saw their little dog too, who acted like an insecure guard dog.  He barked at me, then retreated to under the trailer, with the cats.  Later, I spotted him playing with one of the cats.

I took the other bag to a lady in Sweet Home who had already taken the quarry folk a bag of cat food, when the one now in rehab texted me the cats were starving and her husband needed food for them.

I stopped by the colony on the way home and quickly caught two more.   I caught the in heat torti point girl plus a short hair black young one.

A rescue friend in Salem has a friend wanting an adult male, for her long fixed girl cat, as a companion.  So I'll stop by on the way home from the clinic and she'll take one of the big boys.  I know which one would likely be the best match.

Anyhow,  getting these 15 done will take a large chunk out of the unfixed cat population left there.   I'll catch three more Saturday there to get fixed Monday in Salem, too.

In heat young torti point

Young dsh black.  This is the only one the caretaker didn't get a record back on yet, so we don't know sex still.

It's nice to see the dog being protective of the cats.

  2. It was cute watching the dog and cat together. I'm still amazed at how you can fit that many cats into your car.

The 4th

Happy the 4th is over.   It's the fireworks.   They terrify some of my cats.  Not the old deaf ones.   Gigi hid under the cat stairs in...
