Where's spring? Better yet, when's summer going to hit?
I'm tired of this eternal damp and gray and cold. We might get up to 60 degrees end of next week.
Wow. 60 degrees.
How will I stay cool?
I have a few spay neuter spots this Friday. But three of those are taken already by people with males who need fixed. All three are easy to catch males unless they take off chasing unfixed girls.
I guess the lady who took back the black injured boy cat she found in her barn still hasn't gotten him into a vet. They're all booked out weeks. You can't get into a vet if you're a new client either. I've got to take Starry to the coast clinic. She has this enlarged lymph node under her chin. It may be a bad tooth. I couldn't get in officially til next month. But I might take her as a drop in like this week. She doesn't seem to be in any discomfort and I was advised to get her on antibiotics so she is.
So anyhow, if the Tangent lady can't get Panther in this week, to her vet, he'll go in Friday to the neuter clinic. I thought for sure he was already neutered but she claims she can feel balls back there. I didn't feel around much because he had poop on his balls but I swear those sacs felt empty to me. Anyhow, she says they're not empty and that he needs fixed badly. What he needs is scanned for a chip.
After Friday I don't have any Salem appointments for three weeks I think it is. I have one trip up to Portland and the FCCO, with cats from two colonies, the 8th, is all I have going. That's for 15 cats.
I've not had much human interaction lately except with cat caretakers. I don't suppose that will change anytime soon. I get my second Covid vaccine this week too. Then that's done. I'll feel a little more protected then. Sweet Home is a world unto itself. I didn't encounter anybody wearing a mask when helping wheelchair colony man. Nobody.
I hope that Starry and black boy can be helpted. And that Spring arrives for you. Soon.
ReplyDeleteHooray for having the second shot.
Thanks EC.
DeleteEven though Spring has shown up on the calendar, the weather makes up its own mind. Hope the weather catches up to the calendar for you soon.
ReplyDeleteI get impatient, L and L.
DeleteWe've had some teases of nice weather, but I'm also impatient. Spring will arrive when it's ready and not before.
ReplyDeleteI wish it was ready and would come!!! Tomorrow is the day it may get into mid sixties, before more rain comes. Today its raining and cold though.
DeleteWow! I'm so grateful to get our cats into the clinic. And thanks again for the great information on diarrhea inducing infections. I've put the ball back in the vet's court, so to speak. They have been good about responding via email, I must say. So we shall see what they suggest next.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes on sunnier days and less crazy times.
If they had tapeworms, they likely also had roundworms, which, as I mentioned, can take a few weeks to be rid of, due to their lifecycle.
