Eleven Fixed Today

I took up 11 today to be fixed.  I might be taking up two more tomorrow to get done.

For sure I'll be taking up Baby, the black tux young apartment complex mom cat.

Anyhow, the 11 fixed today included seven from the Lebanon colony, two from Albany and two from Halsey although those two will soon be living in Albany full time too.

Here are the Halsey pair and Zeppelin, the girl, was a big hit at the clinic.

Floyd from Halsey

Zeppelin, whom everybody loved at the clinic
Here are the two big guys from Albany.  They were trying to trap a mom cat who had kittens that they ended up taking in, to care for, after she quit caring for them when they were quite young.  They're still trying to catch the mom, but think it may be likely they catch more boys.  She's in heat again.

This is Cupcake, a big brown tabby boy.  Yes I named him.  I think the name fits.

This is Mad Max and he is MASSIVE.  He's also awesome.  And he's also now fixed and fully vaccinated and parasite free.  Hear that ladies?  The parasite free thing is a big plus in dating I find.
Now for the seven from the Lebanon colony.   I had 8 here, but held back little Gracie, mainly because I didn't have enough spay neuter space, even with a lot more reservations given me.  She also has a cold, but not that bad of one.
Frosty is another orange and white girl at the colony but now fixed.

Daisy, a muted calico, also now fixed.

Nonie is a white and black girl, and had kittens in the laundry room but has stopped caring for them, so she was spayed today.

Smokey had a bad URI that is constant so I was a little reluctant to include her.  However, she was being mounted by Rocky at the colony.  Rocky is fixed but was only last week that was done, so he doesn't act like it yet.  Pregnancy is hard on a chronically ill kitty so off she went.  She did stop breathing when anesthetized, I was told, but because she had a serious nasal polyp that, when everything relaxed, blocked the breathing passage.  The vet called to ask if I wanted her euthanized or if her caretakers would get that looked at and removed if need be because it makes her miserable.  I called the sisters up and there were arguments and yelling, some yelling directed at me, accusations, and I told them to cut it out.  And they said no to euthanasia and that they would get her to a vet over the polyp.. I kind of told them what I thought after that, being a bit fed up.

This young boy is Bright Eyes and was humping anything with warm blood over at the colony and some inanimate objects too.   Now neutered.  Out of his misery.

Handsome Champ.  He likes to fight.  Hopefully now, with all but one male fixed over there, slowly the fighting and marking will subside.  The unfixed male is also extremely ill with chronic URI and is very skinny and isn't humping anything.  He's too ill to be neutered, probably never will be well enough to go under anesthesia.

Tuxie likes to fight too and is losing an eye to either injury or illness.   At least he too is now neutered.

Well anyhow, at least 11 more cats are not reproducing and that's a good thing.  So all is good with me. I"m just a little tired is all.  Four of the 11 are already back with their people recuperating prior to release.

Good work. Handsome Champ is indeed a nice looking cat. Frosty looks nice too.

    1. There are some really good looking kitties at the colony, many many orange and whites. Frosty and Daisy were both pregnant at spay. Like almost all the females fixed have been, despite there already being six litters born there.

  2. Not in the slightest bit surprised you are a 'bit' tired.
I hope that polyp IS looked at.

    1. It won't be, not with them. Not unless I arrange something. Which I'll probably do.

  3. Good job, Strayer! More cats that you've given a better life.

  4. Oh, wow! You're amazing. I can't imagine the people you deal with. And that enrollment healthcare scam is ridiculous! Our insurance company seems much more honest. They call but don't force us to accept their wellness help. We think it's nosy, but innocuous, and meant to *lower* they costs. And I wish you could see my dentist. Everyone is super nice and they're very efficient. ~hugs~ You make me remember how blessed my life is, however pear-shaped it's been of late. On a fun note, Hoodsie reminds me of my beautiful Luna. I miss her still and she's been gone since August of 2014! She had the cutest dark dots on either side of that pink nose. Heh... I wish you all the best, and thank you for the thoughts on Tilly. The veterinarian did mention some allergy affecting her ears. I think she's the most thorough vet I've seen at that clinic since this whole UTI nonsense started. Be well, my dear.
