Another Trip with Cats

I made the trip to the affordable clinic again.

This time, in honor of Halloween, I took along two black cats--Jade and Blackberry!

Blackberry is from Kings Valley and I got a donation to cover Jade, if I transported Blackberry too.  That was a great deal!

Blackberry, the kindest sweetest big huge boy you could meet!

Jade, from here, who has no enemies.  Very sweet kitty!
Jade had only one tooth left but had been crying out suddenly when trying to eat, and then would knead, to comfort herself which broke my heart to see.  She had that final tooth pulled, along with a cortisone injection.

I went to a couple of beaches but my right leg was again bothering me so I didn't do a lot.

Broken Star

Two people were flying drones, way up and over the large rock out in the ocean, probably bothering the birds on it too.  I hate drones!
This guy was surf fishing.  Surf was quite rough.  I didn't see him catch anything.

Then there was the suicidal wooly bear caterpillar, determined to head out to sea.  I moved him back to the wooded area but minutes later, he resumed his trek to the ocean.  There was nothing I could do.

We left at 4:30 a.m. and got back at 8:00 p.m.  Jade is sleeping it off.  I plan to also!

  1. I love finding wooly bears! That one does seem a bit insane. I'm with you on drones. Hope you are not in pain. Great photos, all. Rest up, you hero, you.

    1. Doing better today, partly its my shoes, a bit too small on the right foot, but if I don't wear socks, the right shoes fits better. Can't wait til summer and back to barefoot or sandals. I've found more wooly bears this year, on the coast trips with cats. The time before, when I lost all my photos, due to the glitch, they were everywhere at Ecola park overlook.

  2. Hooray for two more cats helped.
I learned recently that your woolly bear's orange midriff is saying your winter will be mild.
    Fingers crossed.
    Sleep well.

    1. More black is supposed to mean more severe winter on woolly bears.

Great white water photos. Drones can be very useful but also such pests.

  4. Did you use your new camera for the beach pictures? You always have nice pictures, but these seemed a little sharper.

    1. Good observer, yes I did, but it had low batteries (4 AA) and they quit shortly. I had not brought others. Ah well, next time will.
