Blah, blah, blah

Living the blahs, in the Oregon driz.

Rain, rain go away.....

Paleeze!

Rain lovers, avoid the cheery "oh we just love the rain" comments today, eh?  You might get bitten.

Miss Daisy is feeling the drowse.

Slinko is in rain depression which also translates with him to "going to getcha" with the others.  Doesn't fly well here.

The apartment complex kittens are doing ok.  The girl still is congested and it runs down the back of her throat, instead of her nose, which is tough to deal with and can kill them if it gets into their lungs.

The little boy plays wildly now.  He's never known play before, and even sleeps with a cat toy.

The little girl likes to sleep on my lap.

Check out the girls "whatever" look
Trying to find a campsite for the night before the next coast trip with cats.  State park sites, which are hard to find, now cost $29 per night, which I don't think includes the reservation charge, which is either $8 or $9.  I am quite unhappy over this ridiculous price for a campsite and makes me think the campgrounds have become a cash cow for the state.   Makes me want to cry.   Guess it will be a day trip again.

And some really good news?  Snowball, the white female I tried to catch without success, although I did get 3 males, and one female fixed, who were owned, returned them, and seven other cats out of there, to Heartland, has been caught.  I left a woman a carrier a week ago.  She'd taken over feeding since the couple who fed just abandoned it, when both empty houses the cats lived under sold.   I'm off to pick her up now.

Eli, the little boy kitten, sure wants Snowball to be his adoptive mom.  He is shyly awkwardly making his case.

Let us know if Eli does strike up a connection with Snowball.

    1. Well, Rebecca, the girl kitten, has now even had her face cleaned by Snowball. Eli is wildly showing off his play skills to impress her, but then arches and hisses when she tries to sniff him. They want to sleep with her. We shall see.

  2. Excellent news about Snowball.
The cats here are not fans of rain. And Jazz punishes me for it.

    1. She is such a sweet, gentle kind kitty. Nobody wants the rain in summer, when we've suffered through enough rain for a lifetime this last year, in my opinion. Some have put away their air conditioners, thinking summer is a bust.

  4. That's very interesting about the kittens and Snowball. Are they choosing her because she is showing some motherly tendencies? Does this kind of thing happen very often?

    1. They wouldn't care if she were a he. They want a mom figure and yes, very common. Kittens without a mom will gravitate towards an adult cat, craving an adult figure in their young lives, the security, the cuddling, the wonderfulness of a mom.
