My $50 washer is working great. A friend came over and helped me take the old one to the metal recycler. Metal prices are down, but it had to go. Got just under $5 for it. Which is fine.
My stomach isn't, is tied in knots. I have IBS, and it flares if I get out of routine.
Which I am. But hopefully I'll feel better soon.
The Oregon heat continues, but relief is supposed to be coming for the weekend, with temps dipping to just below 80 degrees perhaps. Today was another 95 degree day or so.
I'm dragging but it will all be o.k. Tomorrow will be a rest day.
The cats are done with the heat. They are crankeee.
It's nice and cool in the house, but many choose to be out in the yard. Sam is really overwhelmed with the heat. He's in an out and pestering the other cats. Tomorrow I will devote myself in servitude to them.
I am a Cat Woman. My self-appointed mission in life is to save the feline world! To accomplish this mission, I get cats fixed. Perhaps my mission might be slightly delusional. This blog is a mishmash of wishful thinking, rants, experiences as I remember them and of course, cat stories and cat photos. I have a nonprofit now, to help keep the cats here cared for and to fix community cats. Happy Cat Club formed in 2015. Currently, we are on a mission to fix 10,000 cats.

It is a shame that the moggies can't spend a day devoting themselves in servitude to you.
ReplyDeleteHopefully your poor tummy will settle.
Isn't it a shame,EC. Wouldn't that be nice.
DeleteFeel better! Sorry you only got $5 for the metal. Bummer. Your attitude is very uplifting to me.
ReplyDeleteThanks Darla.
DeleteThe heat overwhelms me, too. I understand cranky cats because that's how I get to. Hope everyone has a better day tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThe heat is difficult to tolerate, especially if trying to do active things outside. And the cats, they can spend their day inside if they want, with AC, with me, which is where I'm staying today! Zonking out!
DeleteThe temperature here in Katherine in the NT is about 95 f today.....we have the A/C on in the caravan but I'm sitting outside under a big tree :). Hope you get your tummy right...
ReplyDeleteThat's hot, WA. It's finally cooled off here, no more 95 in Oregon. More like 75 today and for the week I hear. I am following your trek on your blog and then I go to google maps to see more. Are you at the North Coast yet? Will you cut to the west?
DeleteGoogle maps Says it's over 21 hours drive from Coober Pedy to Katherine and over 1860 km. That is a very long trek in your caravan. Did you find fuel easy enough along the way? What caravan park are you in? I'll look it up and zoom in for a close look on Google maps.
DeleteWA, Katherine looks clean and modern from the parts I've seen on google maps. I see there are some Tourist Villages that look like caravan parks and one called Big4 Caravan park across the Katherine River. Where do you head from there?
