Five Big Boys!

This is the big Lebanon male, being fixed today.
The owned Albany male, being neutered today.
The Albany owned Lynx Point, who likely has FIV.
One of two Philomath boys, being neutered today.
This Philomath male will also have his ears cleaned and treated for earmites.

Today, I took up five big boys to be fixed. One is a tame owned Albany black cat, although I did not check to be sure he is a boy. The owner says he is. I was late picking him up, after picking up two more my Philomath friend trapped. Both appear to be boys to me!

The Albany Lynx Point is among the five males up being fixed today. That poor boy has every sign of FIV. He's a fairly young male who looks like an old old cat. I do not have the money to get him tested. He is owned, and if he is positive, he will at least be neutered and no longer fighting and spreading the disease. He appears to have mouth issues, dry brittle "hollow feeling" hair, and cracked dry skin. These are all consistent with Feline Aids virus infection symptoms.

The fifth male comes from a Lebanon situation. A woman had called here seeking help. She had found seven newborn kittens in her boat. The mom promptly moved them under the house next door. This woman feeds a handful of strays. A Lebanon trapper trapped this male whom I picked up last night. She and her sister will foster the mom and kittens, once caught. There is a pregnant female they are trying to catch also, hopefully before Friday's appointments. For now, Mr. Male is getting fixed.

Slurpy

My dear old Slurpy erupted in a horrendous URI, one of those I didn't detect because, it seems, its sinus. Not usual signs, like snotty...
