Sam's Day

Sam is happy today. Laid back. For once, not bouncing off the walls, with his teen cult following---Doc, Mops, Buffy and Mums, hanging on his every move. They idolize Sam. I'm not sure why.

When Sam leaps onto my lap from the floor, to be hugged and to give hugs, Doc is not far behind. When Sam tries to eat, Mops is so excited to be near him, that he noses in to eat the same food at the same time, not even noticing he has nosed out Sam. When Sam leaps atop the table, covered in a soft quilt for napping comfort, Buffy must lay across his chest. Sam grooms Mops like a good mother would and is never cross with his teen following.

However, their paparazzi like attention to his every move, stresses Sam. He is too nice to give them a "get away" swat. He pays in stress that he sometimes takes out by chasing one of the tortis.

I think some cats are racist towards tortis. The tortis here, Tugs, Poppy and Gretal, do nothing to earn the disdain of some of the other cats, but they get it, nonetheless, and must either hide, or fight back. The ambushes are brutal and unwarranted.

I have caught Angel, Spirit's daughter, eyeing me suspiciously today. Her mother left yesterday for a home.

Sam is neither hounded by his teen cult following nor chasing the tortis.

All is well in cat land.

I believe in my heart that the sun's strong showing today has something to do with the widespread change in attitude.
