I am a Cat Woman. My self-appointed mission in life is to save the feline world! To accomplish this mission, I get cats fixed. Perhaps my mission might be slightly delusional. This blog is a mishmash of wishful thinking, rants, experiences as I remember them and of course, cat stories and cat photos. I have a nonprofit now, to help keep the cats here cared for and to fix community cats. Happy Cat Club formed in 2015. Currently, we are on a mission to fix 10,000 cats.

Goodbye Blizz and Grasshopper
Blizz and Grasshopper, the Lynx Point Siamese and abbytabby tux male kittens from the deceased woman's trailer, just got a great home with a young couple from Eugene. They spent quite a lot of time here, checking them out, learning the ropes about socializing wildish kittens. The guy had experience with a feral kitten before, whom he then had for years. They very definitely wanted Blizz, but choosing another to go with him was tough. Finally it was down to Tweetie or Grasshopper and they went with the more social beautiful boy Grasshopper.
I am very happy they got such a great home with good people. From life under a trailer, to being cherished loved house boys. What a good ending for these kittens. Good luck Blizz and Grasshopper!

Another success!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to move back to Corvallis.
Thanks Snowbrush. I was very excited about the boys getting a good home. Nice Eugene couple. From your neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, I do love the house I live in, but yes, I want to be back in Corvallis, for the parks, the bike paths, all sorts of reasons. If it happens, that would be great. If it doesn't, I still am living in a really wonderful house that I like a lot where everything works, something I'm not accustomed to but like!
Hey, where to my comments disappear sometimes! I just wanted to congratulate you on your latest two wonderful successes, and say that it is amazing as to how you make this difference in the world...withoutyou, none of this would happen! Hugs to you, Jodi, dear Jodi.
ReplyDeleteThey shouldn't disappear.. I don't delete them. Have had that trouble before, with people saying their comments never show up. Thank you, Whitesocks, for your support and kindness.
ReplyDeleteI don't leave a blog until I am sure my comment either posted or is being saved for moderator approval. It's easy to miss a step, type the word wrong, etc.
ReplyDeleteI'm really pleased that things seem to be looking up for you. Sounds like Blizz and Grasshopper will have a very good life with that couple - taking time to learn is such a good sign of good things to come.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I know you don't delete them :). Sometimes I think something just doesn't go through, although most of the time it works fine, thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for your card and wishes, Jodi. I'm so glad I can help out a little and support you at least the teeniest bit. I'm pretty much settled in the US at this point (my husband is American) but would love to be able to live in both worlds at some point if I can ever figure out a way to do that :). Just a hope, really difficult to implement!
