Ten Cats Fixed Today

So the vet fixed all ten today, despite my mix up. Five were brought over by tenants of a Corvallis trailer park. All five were owned and tame---3 females, one of them in heat, and two males.

The other five came from the Albany woman who has 14, although now, all but two reside elsewhere, due to landlord rules. So I got six of them fixed a couple months ago. Today five more were fixed. Three females and two males. Thursday, two more from there will be fixed. Tomorrow, another stray male from the Overpopulation Poster child colony will be fixed.

So in one fell swoop, one day, I burned through a quarter of the month's Poppa allotment. Likely it will all be used up by the end of next week. The funds Poppa currently has in savings, I was told a few days ago, will last a few months into next year at least-=me getting the monthly allotment. There's always hope people will donate in large numbers or large amounts, one or the other, so my job will continue and the cats in these parts will get fixed. There is always hope I can find Poppa a sugar daddy or mamma. Hahahahaha.

But, I'm trying to figure out a Plan B, if I lose my job here. I can't just sit here and stare at these walls the rest of my days and there really is zero option to do much of anything else in Albany, unless one wishes to join the drug trade or the religion trade. I'm not into either.

Maybe there are communities where spay/neuter is funded where I might find a place for myself, me and my traps and my homemade net. And if I can find such a place, that is where I will try to go when the Poppa money is gone.

I've lived in this area for decades, but have made no close friends in my time here. So I really don't have anything to lose by leaving the area. Change, however, gets tough the older one gets. But I cannot, do not want, to see myself growing old in this town. Oh my gosh NOOOOOOOOO!

I'm frustrated, Strayer, that you haven't yet got one of those weekly prizes. I've been voting for you every day, often 2-3 times from different computers I have access to (home, work, husbands)...will continue doing so!
