Baloney from the trailer park in south Corvallis. I asked the person wanting to get cats fixed there to communicate, to let me know by yesterday morning, how many she had to go today, so I could know, and go get other cats to get in for fixing, if she didn't have the five lined up she said she would have lined up. I usually take in four to five cats when I have appointments. So if she had only three, I would go get two others.
Anyhow, I didn't hear from her yesterday morning. I sent e-mails and left messages, and heard nothing until 10:00 p.m. last night. At that time, she said she had two lined up. I don't know why people promise things, like to communicate, and then don't. I don't know why.
No cats showed up at the clinic from the trailer park. Not five. Not three. Not even two. Someone called there and told the clinic they had to have five to come, which was not true at all. Then whomever called made appointments for mid January. This isn't ok, without first checking, if they want Poppa funds to pay. So maybe they plan to pay for the cats themselves, which would be splendid.
If not, they need to contact me, to get it authorized, and that will be the last Poppa fund involvement there. I'm not going to leave a zillion messages with them again about it. If I don't hear from them, the cats fixed in mid January will not receive Poppa funding. People need to keep promises, if even just to communicate. What is so hard about that?
I am a Cat Woman. My self-appointed mission in life is to save the feline world! To accomplish this mission, I get cats fixed. Perhaps my mission might be slightly delusional. This blog is a mishmash of wishful thinking, rants, experiences as I remember them and of course, cat stories and cat photos. I have a nonprofit now, to help keep the cats here cared for and to fix community cats. Happy Cat Club formed in 2015. Currently, we are on a mission to fix 10,000 cats.
