The Vancouver couple, huge cat lovers, came all the way down today and adopted Little Matilda. I was ecstatic for her. We will miss her here. Little Matilda was one of 11 cats I took from the old woman in Lebanon feeding strays. She had written a poignant letter to the Corvallis paper, about the problems thrust onto others, when people abandon their cats, including angry neighbors, who hate cats. One such neighbor of hers had threatened to kill the cats with a shovel.
So I went and took 11 of them. Four remained here. That is, until today, when Little Matilda got a home. Now, Tugs, Mums and Big Matilda are the only cats from those 11 still here awaiting homes.
Good luck, Little Matilda.
That's great news Jody!
ReplyDeleteSee what a good thing you did.
Things have a way of working out somehow....
Great news, Jodi. More happiness you're spreading around :). And I see you're up to 9 on the 'contest' thing, although that's sadly not going to be enough.
ReplyDeleteAnd bless you, too, for taking so much trouble over the old lady's cats, despite the irresponsible and callous attitude of her family.
aww i bet little matilda will be soo happy with them....are they the same people who took mickey, by the way? I don't know how many canadian families you've dealt with...but at least we know little matilda is in good hands.....hope they send some follow up photos!!!
