I haven't gotten any real calls on the ad running in the paper for cats. I got one call today, someone wanting to adopt a kitten, but she and her husband both work so are gone all the time, and they have a toddler. She wanted a kitten who knew how to behave with a toddler. I retorted to her, "You have to teach a toddler how to behave towards animals." That's the key and then I told her I didn't have any cats and kittens specifically trained to know how to treat a toddler right. That is a no win placement, so I didn't want to spend any time on it.
I am really stupid, taking in these trailer park cats fed by the now deceased woman. If I never place them, I'll have a total mess here, way too many cats. Now with the torti kitten Felk positive, having one kitten, Tex, who is negative in the bathroom, the one bedroom filled with trailer park cats, who have to be tested, I have no time and nowhere, to socialize kittens like Slurpy and Tex and Soda. It was stupid to get involved. No one is actually going to help me find these cats homes or socialize the kittens.
The first order of business is to get the rest of these cats from there tested.
There are four kittens still over there and four adults. Two of the kittens and one of the adults are not fixed. I'm not going back. You think I can take in 8 more cats? None of those neighbors over there will help and they should be helping. It shouldn't be left to some stranger.
I am a Cat Woman. My self-appointed mission in life is to save the feline world! To accomplish this mission, I get cats fixed. Perhaps my mission might be slightly delusional. This blog is a mishmash of wishful thinking, rants, experiences as I remember them and of course, cat stories and cat photos. I have a nonprofit now, to help keep the cats here cared for and to fix community cats. Happy Cat Club formed in 2015. Currently, we are on a mission to fix 10,000 cats.
