Nine More Cats Fixed Today

Maggie, the silver torbi kitten from Vine Street, adopted out when three weeks old to a friend of a friend, now a four month old teen, was spayed today. It was nice to see this gorgeous cat again.

I took nine more cats up to be fixed today. Two are kittens from the trailer park colony, one a male and the other a female, plus an adult male from the colony, too. I have now taken 12 cats from that colony in to be fixed.

One female kitten comes from the 34th Street Baptist colony, the sixth cat fixed from there in the last two days. I also trapped two more cats there today who will be fixed tomorrow.

One teen fixed today is the gorgeous silver torbi "Maggie", whom a friend of a friend adopted, along with the Silver Tabby, "Sashi", who came from Shedd.

The other four kittens are from the Berliny Bunch colony. I had trapped three more adults there, fixed yesterday, and the four kittens of the black tux female, fixed yesterday, were fixed today--three males and a female.

Nine more cats in all. 18 cats fixed in the last two days.

My allowance of the waning Poppa funds is down to less than $400 for the rest of the month. It will all be gone by Friday, meaning, for the rest of the month, I have to hang up my traps and twiddle my thumbs, something I'm not very good at doing.

I also went and fetched a sad case cat. A really sad case cat.

He's a neutered white male and he was abandoned over on 34th street by some loser guy when he moved out. He was then fed by a formerly homeless couple I first met at Camp Boondoggle, when they lived there, during the time the city was emptying and bulldozing that homeless camp. They handed over to me kittens, they said they couldn't keep due to the city bulldozing their homes. And now they are big time spay/neuter advocates. They ran into me the other day and said another mother with two kittens got dumped off, and they needed fixed. And they told me the white male had a broken leg or two.

They said they told the landlords' wife he was her responsibility, because it was one of their tenants who abandoned him, to at least take him to the dog pound to be put down, but that wasn't done. So SafeHaven has agreed to take him. I picked him up tonight. He's a likable cat, but looks like he has had or has one or two broken feet or legs that have partially healed at least.

I asked what happened. They said two Mexican kids beat him with a club and did that. That family, a bunch of thugs, were evicted. Those kids tried intimidating me over there before too, when I trapped, would ride a bike within inches of me, to try to scare me. They were not nice kids. They were thugs.

Anyhow, while I was over there for the white male, that Safehaven is taking tomorrow, I trapped a stray male they're also feeding and one of the two kittens and the mom. I couldn't get my bad trap, the only empty one I had, to work to catch the second kitten.

So I got six cats going tomorrow, and almost no Poppa allocation money left for fixing. But the trailer park woman's son is supposed to be donating to help with those cats I've taken in for his mom, 12 so far, so I'm hoping it's a generous donation and that I can find more and continue. I have that kitten there to trap and get in. I have two more and that 34th street Baptist colony is done and four more at the trailer park colony. That's seven I want to get in, to finish all those situations. So I got to turn up some fixing money.

Guess I'm addicted to fixing. I just can't stop. But now I might have to and withdrawal will be a killer.
