It's hard for me to believe how horrifically human beings can treat each other. How do we justify such acts as in this article described? This torture was perprated on Iraqis by Iraqis and the brutality is difficult to fathom.
I do not know what the answer to such violence could be. We live in a violent world, where we concoct reasons to justify killing. I suppose this militia, like so many others, believe they are on a mission from God. Or say that, to justify the evil they perpetrate against fellow human beings.
