I am a Cat Woman. My self-appointed mission in life is to save the feline world! To accomplish this mission, I get cats fixed. Perhaps my mission might be slightly delusional. This blog is a mishmash of wishful thinking, rants, experiences as I remember them and of course, cat stories and cat photos. I have a nonprofit now, to help keep the cats here cared for and to fix community cats. Happy Cat Club formed in 2015. Currently, we are on a mission to fix 10,000 cats.

Strange Things.......
Here's the allegedly previously spayed cat, sporting eartip, in the trap this morning, after the colony caregiver retrapped her. Her kittens, if they are hers, are two to three weeks of age. Four black boys and one torti girl. The girl is much smaller than the boys. She is being aced out of nipple time by the plump food aggressive boys.
How could a cat whom I took up to Portland for spaying March 15 have kittens only two weeks old? Well, that's impossible. The uterus is removed in a spay. YOu can't have kittens without a uterus. She either wasn't spayed, but eartipped, or she stole these kittens and somehow began lactating. She has lots of milk. It would be unheard of for a mother to steal kittens six weeks after being spayed and begin lactating to care for them. I'm guessing the vet clinic somehow missed spaying her.
She and her kittens are currently being housed at the colony in a nice comfy rabbit hutch.
Jake and Jimbo went to their new home today also. Two cats are up being fixed. Long story on why only two.
The two being fixed today: A white female, in heat, from Millersburg, and a young brown tabby teen female from the Front street situation, the sixth from that household.
