Today was a good day for cats. Seven more got fixed. Devastation Prevention Specialist. That's what I call myself sometimes. When I want to feel like something, you know. Like somebody with a job. Like a legitimate American.
I hear all this talk about the stimulus package, who is going to get money. Well, I can tell you, it won't be me. Even in the more generous Senate package, where seniors are included, I'm not. I'm disabled. Not worthy. Illegitimate American. At least I am if you listen to the likes of Lars Larson, etc. Not good enough. Never good enough. Maybe that's one reason I work myself to death as a volunteer--to try to prove I'm good enough. But I'm not and I know it.
But nonetheless, today was a good day for the cats of Linn County. Today was a good day for the people who care for the seven cats who got fixed. Today was a good day for the neighborshoods those seven now fixed cats live in.
One in heat Siamese female from Sweet Home was spayed. One in heat feral calico from Albany was spayed. One female from rural Linn County was spayed. One male from Lebanon was neutered. One big honking roaming tomcat from Albany was neutered. One kitten dumped on 34th street was neutered. And a sad little stray male kitten, now cared for, from Albany, was neutered.
Seven cats no longer breeding.
Five were fixed in Jefferson. Two I took to Greenhill to be neutered.
Then I went and slept in my car half the day at Walmart, probably got four hours very needed sleep in before picking up the two males, then going on up to pick up the cats in Jefferson.

I am a Cat Woman. My self-appointed mission in life is to save the feline world! To accomplish this mission, I get cats fixed. Perhaps my mission might be slightly delusional. This blog is a mishmash of wishful thinking, rants, experiences as I remember them and of course, cat stories and cat photos. I have a nonprofit now, to help keep the cats here cared for and to fix community cats. Happy Cat Club formed in 2015. Currently, we are on a mission to fix 10,000 cats.
