Senior Complex Kitty and Piles of Countryside Receipts from Cats Fixed Past

So, the mother cat, abandoned by someone who once lived near this senior complex in Albany, is now here and will be spayed tomorrow. She is absolutely gorgeous and so sweet. What happens to her after that, I don't know yet. I'm still waiting to see if KATA can take her in. They took in two of her kittens. Also, Countryside has an older gentleman whose elderly cat died who is looking for another cat. She might be perfect for him.Gorgeous Fire torti abandoned in Albany.

Tons of old receipts from Countryside Vet clinic for cats fixed. I am going through my files and recycling old records. Seeing the notes I made on the receipts brings back memories. Notes like: "2 males Main St.--Albany; 1 blk/wht DSH tux--Main St." and "orange/wht male, Lafayette St. Colony" and "Righty--West Warehouse; 3 Clean Trailer females" and "DSH black female, young, from Jim's Lonely Ewe colony Harrisburg; 3 Oakville souths'--2 females, one male, all silver tabs; and BS Beth's preg brn tab female (that was Rainbow, adopted by a saint of a woman who lived in WA. Last spring, I got an e-mail from her husband. Sommar Kramer, a beautiful soul, died just after giving birth to their first son. I was heartbroken. I'd only met her once. She had a huge huge heart and seemed angelic when I met her with Rainbow in Portland. Her husband and new son who still have Rainbow will always remain close to my heart. To see that notation about Rainbow on that receipt, brings back a rush of emotion, to think of Sommar. She took in an old tough abused female kitty. At the time, to me, this had seemed too good to be true. Rainbow had been shot through the jaw at one point, by some Blodgett asshole. She had a rough edged course meow. An Angel wanted to love her despite her age, hard life and flaws. Now Sommar watches over her from another world.

The last female I trapped at Homeless Richards.
