Don't you just love the pouring rain, and early darkness evenings due to daylight savings time.
Um, no.
Yesterday we had a break from the pouring rain. Today its back. Darkness comes so early with the time change. Depressing? Hmmmm. I guess I really don't mind it as much as I like to think. I do enjoy complaining however.
Via a stroke of fate or good luck, just as I was asking neighbors to close the trap at the trailer park last night, the mom cat got caught in my trap. Just like that, I'm done there.
The clinic agreed to do an extra on my four appointments and someone else failed to catch their cat, had already paid and offered the spot to me. That was awesome. Meeko, the tabby tux boy from the rural road, is getting fixed on that donated paid for spot.
Six cats went with me off to be fixed.
Freya, the darling little torti tux from the trailer park, and her mom Madonna, were two of them.

There is something to be said for complaining. It's nice to whine and bitch. Nice on the extra spot.
ReplyDeleteIts cathartic to complain sometimes, get it out of the system then move on.
DeleteSeriously. Two days in and I already hate it.
ReplyDeleteMe too, dark so early, dark when I wake up, especially since now I go to bed early, because it feels like the middle of the night at 5:00 p.m.
DeleteAnd it seems even darker when it is raining. You have been really busy, so sleeping the week away while it is raining sounds like a good idea.
ReplyDeleteI know. supposed to rain all week too. Sometimes when its pouring, I get this feeling I live in a water world and will float away.
DeleteYou've been working hard and deserve a rest.
ReplyDeleteI think so too.
DeleteDark and rainy doesn't seem conducive to trapping cats.
ReplyDeleteIt works really well if there is a barn involved, or building where they shelter. They're bored and don't want to go out in the rain, like we get, and its easier to get them to overcome their suspicions when they are bored. If they don't have a sheltered area to get out of the rain, like a building, then it is harder.
DeleteYou deserve a week of total rest. Hugs, my dear.
ReplyDeletePS There is a super guy on YouTube who reminds me of you. After taking in her kitties, he is working to tame a mother cat he named Freya. :D
His channel is: https://www.youtube.com/@Bradybrandwood
That kitten I didn't name. Several neighbors take care of these cats and one decided she and her husband wanted to take in the muted torbi tux kitten after she was fixed. I asked what name they wanted on the records and she said Freya. They are likely going to take in her brother too, as soon as another neighbor, Molly, in her 80's, traps him again. I've never seen the like of that cul de sac, where all the neighbors love and care for a handful of stray kitties. Very refreshing and wonderful. I'll check out the channel, thanks!
DeleteWet, cold and dark is a rough combination. I kinda like the time change because my granddaughter doesn't have to get ready for school in the dark.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that why we do it, for school kids?
