Chewy sent me this memorial rock for Slinko. For those who might not know, Chewy is an online pet supply store. They have great customer service.
I had listed him on their site as one of my kitties then changed his status after he died. It's so strange to get a card and gift from a corporation. So this token from Chewy kind of broke my heart open.
We're supposed to get rain end of week that lasts a week I think. It may rain quite a lot I think I heard on the news.
I got both my issues resolved. The DOJ was quick to call me and she walked me through the online form to find out what I'd done wrong. As for the prescription thing, I had to make a medicare wellness exam appointment to be able to get the prescription refilled. I hate those ridiculous things. They are really useless and seem like a scam. We are not allowed to bring up anything other than answer the questions on the wellness questionaire and the provider types away to make notes barely looking up. They are stupid questions, intrusive also. They produce nothing of value for me medically speaking. I try to skip them but now the provider will hold a prescription hostage until you agree to one. Fortunately, the first appointment open is not for months. About right around here.
That is a nice touch from Chewy - but I can see why it broke your heart open.
ReplyDeleteYay for getting the other issue resolved. Can you get your script or do you have to wait until after the appointment months away?
Supposedly I will get it refilled. I reminded them I had seen my doctor last September and I should be able to get it refilled if I've seen him within a year. It's like the rules even with an animal on prescription meds, that a vet has to see them to keep refilling the prescription once a year.
DeleteWhat a lovely thing to do! That is indeed good customer service.
ReplyDeleteThey are very good and kind.
DeleteGlad you got those things cleared up. Sweet for Chewy to send you condolences on the loss of Slinko. Companies don't do those sorts of things anymore, and it shows.
ReplyDeleteBut the companies who do try to connect on a personal level, well, I sure appreciate that effort on their part and become their loyal customer.
DeleteThat's a sweet gift to receive.
ReplyDeletePetty bureaucracy... you just have to go along with it.
Yup, I do and I will.
DeleteChewy is a really great company, fair prices and easy to deal with whenever there's an issue. I'm so sorry about Slinko, that's a very nice memorial piece for him.
ReplyDeleteIts the best online store I've ever dealt with. I use their auto ship system to deliver food to two colony caretakers monthly also.
DeleteThat's a wonderful gift from Chewy, a company we use often. One of my prescriptions is on hold until I get blood tested and see a nephrologist's assistant. Shamefully, I don't understand a fraction of my medications; I prefer focusing on care of my husband and our kitties. On that note, I should take better care of my health for their sake. lol I'm glad you got some issues resolved, at least, and wish you all the best, my dear.
ReplyDeleteIt's so easy to slip into the care of others and not care for oneself. Guilty too on that sometimes. I do try to keep up on preventative care but last year I got no vaccines due to complications involving the pharmacy and their manner of booking and how darn busy they are, since a few pharmacies have closed in our area but the population has ballooned. I hope you can get in soon to get blood tested. It can take a long time here to get an appointment with a provider. Months in fact.
DeleteWe are blessed to have very good healthcare access. I'd scoop you up and bring you here if I could. ~hugs~ At the same time, new housing developments are exploding all around us, making me a tiny bit nervous about the future.
DeleteYeah the exploding housing developments seem to be everywhere. They are ruining our "here" with traffic, increased costs because more people come with a price tag, including lots more services, doctors police roads, sewer, schools water, etc.. We are experiencing massive cost increases to sewer and water, road maintenance and creation, here and people are beginning to see the light that growth doesn't lower costs.
