Who dumped all those cats way up Quartzville to starve to death? Who knows. I don't know if it will ever be found out who did it and if so, if the sheriff will do anything about it. I gave up long ago on any idea of justice around here, for animal abandonment, neglect or cruelty.
I think about 18 have been trapped now, with only a few left to go. I only went up the once and caught the five. Its a long drive up there for me from here.
The ones I caught are in the works now for barn homes through SCR thank goodness. I have to get them tested first somehow. Multitudes of people are going up to try to catch them. Its like party trapping up there, with so many people, not my thing but thank goodness they are all willing and trying.
The five here are three girls and two boys. One of the boys is a beautiful snowshoe Siamese, fluffy too. They're all young, six months to a year or so. They're all in my bathroom and probably won't be too long, if SCR barn cat team has success and they usually do. I have great faith in them to find placements.
Our weather has been beautiful for a few days. But rain was supposed to begin again last night. Today it poured for awhile and I thought the Veterans Day parade might be very soggy but the parade is just now starting and the rain is let up.
I had such a busy week that I spent Saturday, after returning cats, just napping mostly. Yesterday I cleaned traps and did laundry. I'm almost caught up, on cleaning and on sleep.
I'm happy the election is over and done with. Oregon remained its blue self while most of the nation went red with Trump. I don't know what it will mean for the country. When one side or the other wins, the losing side makes out how bad it will be but it never is. To me all the politicians seem abnormal. What kind of people want that much power and attention? Narcissists. Control freaks. All those sorts I don't want to be anywhere near me.

Want a shy kitty or two? I can share! Lol.
What does it mean to be a barn cat? Is always a cat that lives in a barn and helps with mice?
ReplyDeleteWorking cats, they live outside, although must be provided shelter, food and water, and are there as mousers. Many end up house cats, however.
DeleteLove your kitties. If Trump keeps his word and puts tariffs up I can only see your prices increasing. I hope not. I really hope not. And, as usual thank you for all you do.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what he will do, but when billionaires and millionaires are running the white house, it spells harder times for the poor almost always. For one reason, they are unable to mentally grasp poverty, so barely believe it exists, is my opinion. Just like I know there are rich people that can buy anything they want, go anywhere, have mansions, dozens of high cars, planes, fancy clothes, etc, but in my mind I can't fathom that sort of money so I push them back into the fairy tale world. I know times are probably going to get much harder for the likes of me.
DeleteI like the look of Boulder.
ReplyDeleteHe's quite unique and beautiful.
DeleteI wish I could take a cat, but I have no space. Glad you don't have to catch all those abandoned cats. I just can't even fathom how people can do such things to sentient creatures.
ReplyDeleteI wish you could take a cat too. I'd get the cat down to you somehow. And visit Kate in HB.
DeleteHi--- I really don't want to start replying in my comment section, but I'd like to answer your questions--- Yes, the logs go to China and other places in Asia. No, we have all the lumber we need. It's possible that it's a Chinese owned ship, many are-- even when they're registered in other countries.
ReplyDeleteI know Bill, sorry, I get curious. thanks for coming over here to answer questions.
