Broken Weatherpeople Promises

It was supposed to be mid 70's today, before more rain comes this evening.  I planned to go to the lake for the first time.  Alas, It's ten degrees shy of what even accuweather says it should be.  Great.  Another gloomy weather day and its supposed to rain for the next week.  I hope they have that one wrong.

Its gotten way too depressing, the lack of warmth and sun.

Summer sun and warmth are what I look forward to all the gloomy gray rainy lonely winter here.

Anyhow, here are some cat photos.

Smeared Sam.  I was on my bed and he was jumping from the top of the exclusion room to the top bunk.

Sam is old too, about 15, plus a few months or so.   He was an adult when he came here so I don't know for sure.

He's a pretty nice kitty, that's for sure.  My brother swore he'd adopt him but never did in the end.  He's a likable kitty but has the bad habit of peemarking if he smells any unfixed male.  Peeman Sam.

Here are some photos through the years I like of Sam.

Sam with Buffy, who adores him, when both were much much younger.

Sam with you know who, be still my heart, behind him.

Sam is the friendliest cat left alive here.   Little Thunder likes to come on the bed briefly nights for snuggles but isn't friendly like Sam or like Starry was.

Little Thunder is the girl from the Foster hoarder trailer.  She'd gone to Heartland for awhile, hoping for a home, but she shut down there, in misery and fear.  So they asked I take her back and she's been here quite some time now.  She's still pudgy and playful and snuggly at night, for a time.

Slinko is doing well after his teeth were removed.   He lost a lot of weight in the time between when he could no longer eat dry food and when his mouth issues were finally resolved.  Hope he gains some of that back now.   He's looking old and yeah, sure, he is old, probably 14 years old in fact, but despite his cantankerous personality, I'd like him to be around a few more years.  He's with Teddy, whom he tolerates, in the photo below.

Lastly a photo of one of two sisters I've always called the Quirky Sisters.   They're flighty, strange, obsessive and possessive.  Both are now elderly.

Fantasia likes to be on my lap, being petted and purring one minute and slapping the crap out of me the next, if I look at her wrong.

That's Fantasia when she was a teen, hanging on for dear life to a cat tree while her sister Echo looks on.

Fantasia in her old age.

And thanks for all of the photos. Sam is a jumper isn't he? Jazz was, but is now too old.

    1. He is friendly and very outgoing. Even though he's 15 now, he occasionally does his tears around the house and cat runs. Not often now.

  4. I'll send you some of our weather. It sounds like you can use it.

Do you watch Jeopardy? Apparently, the champ on Monday has a toothless cat named Potato. It made me think of yours when I heard that.

    1. Yes, please send sun! We're now supposed to get another "atmospheric river" next few days. Great. Just what we need. I watch Jeopardy when I remember to watch it. That's awesome about the toothless cat.

Younger Crowd

Besides the mostly very elderly cats here, a younger crowd provides entertainment.  For the most part, they're happy healthy and insane...
