There has been a lot of damage from the snow and ice storms. Most of this town where I live is without power but I have it! Thank goodness. North of me, its much worse. Almost no one I know has power right now. (Except me). I'm staying put today. We have no ice at all anymore in this neighborhood, but now and then an ugly downpour of drenching cold rain erupts like Mother Nature hates us all. Lol.
The below video is the Portland Rowing club. Awnings covering boats at the docks collapsed onto the boats. Many of the boats are now underwater or half full of water. Some of the house boats there are tipping into the water, too. Just another ugly storm scene.
Hooly dooly. That is an amazing - and heart rending video.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you have power. Long may it last.
Long may it last, and the heat. Thousands upon thousands of people are without power and that means no heat and its cold.
DeleteI'm crossing my fingers that your luck continues and your electricity stays on.
ReplyDeleteMe too.
DeleteSeems odd that the awnings weren't designed to cope with a bit of snow.
ReplyDeleteYeah, very odd that they are so weakly built.
DeleteSure seam like a lot of storms. It been quite windy here in North Idaho, it coming out of the North.
ReplyDeleteMy youngest one is on camping drip some where between palm springs and Las Vegas and ran into a dust storm
Coffee is on and stay safe
Too many storms.
DeleteI hope your electricity stays on and the others have theirs restored soon.
ReplyDeleteMine remained on, and others in my area are just getting theirs back. In Portland area, some of my friends have power now, some had it, and now don't again.
