The holidays are gone. Now we face another year.
Probably a year full of the same bs as last year.
Our President barely mentions the virus and its mounting toll in dead and disabled and bereaved people in our country. Instead, he's still trying to call the election fraudulent and demanding Georgia find votes so he wins there officially. Except he already lost the election, which is clear to everyone but him and some of the spineless pathetic feet lickers who run frantically after him, hoping to lay across the mud so he can step on them instead of in the mud, and lay this out as their biggest greatest life accomplishment.
Ok whatever.
I told my Idaho brother tonight, "Well, if we get through the next two weeks with no big revolution breaking out, maybe its clear sailing then." See, all I think about is maybe getting out on the lake next summer in my raft.
I thought the virus would be easily defeated now that two or three vaccines are out there. Sadly, I see no urgency in the eyes of state officials trying to lay out their excuses to news reporters as to why so few people have been vaccinated. Oh gawd, I think, this will never be over with. It could be, but it won't. I think to myself, give me the job of getting the vaccines out in Oregon. I could do it better. Or could I? How many meetings does it take to get one person vaccinated? I bet a lot. I couldn't take meetings. I hate them. I sleep through them.
I'd just give out signed forms with the vaccine bottle label stuck to it, that state such and such a person, received such and such vaccine, then with address, phone number, county, and date of vaccine, type of vaccine, date for booster on it, take a phone photo of that for every person, like the high volume spay neuter clinics do, with rabies vaccine proof. Burden of keeping that record is on the recipient.
Anyhow, never mind my ramblings. I'm just wholeheartedly disappointed.
I took down my Christmas tree. It's back up in the rafters.
Tomorrow I take my car back to try to get the repair job repaired. I guess I wish I'd not bothered in the first place. My money's gone and the car sounds like a beater.
As you can see, I'm in the best of moods tonight. Lol. Off to bed for me.
I hope you wake in a better space - and that your car IS fixed this time. As it should have been last time.
ReplyDeleteI watch your current President and his enablers in complete horror.
Me too, on the car EC. Thanks.
DeleteOne can never think #45 can get even worse, and then he does. Lol that he complains media are not complimenting Mrs #45 for her fashion sense, although in my opinion she is very stylish and glam and far too good for him. Nice person? Who would know.
ReplyDeleteI am all for getting the Christmas tree away early. Ours is still standing until the twelfth day.
I hope you slept well and feel nice and fresh when you read this.
She is extremely stylish and beautiful. For her age, too, man alive, although I don't know how old she is. Thank you Andrew I am well rested this morning.
DeleteI think in the beginning the President was trying to make the election go his way. Now, I think he knows he lost but as long as he keeps up the appearance to trying to "get what is rightfully his" he can keep raising money. It's all about fund raising and this ruse is one that will fire up his diehard fan base.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that as time goes on, they will get more efficient at giving the vaccine, although when they start with the general population, it is going to be more difficult--especially making sure that people come for their second one. And hopefully the states that aren't doing such a good job with logistics will learn from the states that are.
And more immediately, I hope this will be your last visit to the mechanic for awhile.
Oh its about money, I should have guessed. I don't pay much attention to politics a lot of the time. I hope the vaccine roll out goes better. In Oregon, a fraction of the vaccines we were shipped have been used. I very much hope to not visit a mechanic for years. I had to ask my other brother, is it normal to make an appointment for one day, then not get it back, for a rather small repair, for three days and not expect that, and then they don't even test drive it to be sure it works after? He said "No, it isn't normal. Find another mechanic."
Delete~hugs~
ReplyDeleteBrown is not saying that people over 65 can expect to get their shots by mid-May. Wonderful! She should give the job to Costco.
ReplyDeleteAre you in any kind of risk group so that you might be able to get yours sooner rather than later.
