Save Our Children Marches

I saw all these people marching in Sweet Home, after returning that little torti kitten.

Their signs were difficult to read while driving but talked about Save Our Children, Children being raped and murdered, and I had no idea what was going on.

I had an inkling however it could be related to the very popular in this area QAnon conspiracies, that almost everyone in our government is a pedophile and worships Satan along with a host of other way out there crap and that Donald Trump is basically Jesus Christ here to save us all.

In Lebanon a handful of folks held signs near the Taco Bell, same sort of thing.

They claim its a rally, many across the country, against human trafficing.   I have my doubts and lean more towards QAnons because those beliefs are so embedded in this area.   If Lebanon and Sweet Home people want to save children in our area, they should work to stamp out drug use, sure might help, rather than diverting blame to government conspiracy theories.

Here's one article I found about these rallies today:

This writer says the Save Our Children groups are merely fronts for Qanon conspiracy theory freaks.

I returned Titus.  He came out of the trap a bit confused at first, but then got excited, turned back and wanted to wrap himself in my arms.  I took him up in my arms and held him, hugged him as he purred and purred.  I took this behavior as a great big Thank You.  Then off he went, happy to be home, to make sure his turf was all just right.

I won't soon forget Titus and our adventure together.  See around you sweetie.

  1. I am so glad that Titus came back to thank you. I hope his home is as kind to him as you were.
Save our Children? Tied up with QAnon? Shudder. That, and similar organisations are responsible for a lot of ugliness.

    1. Thanks EC, yes he is a nice cat. As for Save Our Children and QAnon, yeah, I had no idea. That whole thing where Qanon has convinced people the government high ups are all pedophiles is unbelievable.

How can you live among such madness! Save our children by not bringing them up like their parents were.

    1. It's really insane here, Andrew. Ignorance is king. Drugs are everywhere. Homelessness. Mental illness. And now we have hate crimes going on in this little town.

    2. The worst part of it, for me, is that I have gone from being a borderline cynic regarding my nation's goodwill and sanity to being convinced that roughly 40% of Americans (that being the number of diehard Trump supporters) qualify as criminally insane in that they are beyond all reason and are willing to achieve their goals by any means possible. This means that it is impossible to work with them for a common vision of good. My fondest wish is that they all get Covid and die, and since they're the ones who believe the virus is a hoax, they actually are dying in higher numbers than the rest of the population.

  3. The scene you describe with Titus sounds just like one from a heartwarming movie. And QAnon sounds like a group from a horror movie.

    1. Titus is so sweet and yes, that was incredibly heartwarming, the way he said thank you. Yes I think Qanon is a different sort of movie.

  4. I don’t understand the conspiracy theory. Are they denying that trafficking exists?

    1. No, they're taking it to a new level and claiming that celebrities and high ups in government, on the left, actually run a massive sex traficking ring that includes eating children. It's the craziest thing but that's what many Qanoner's sincerely believe.

  5. Titus is a great name.

Remember the Republican nutcase who raided a DC pizza parlor to rescue the children that Hilary Clinton was sex-trafficking? Republicanism has gone from being the loyal opposition to becoming home to people who are dangerously mentally ill.

    1. I do. Fortunately I believe he's still in jail and hopefully receiving mental health care.

    1. I hadn't heard much about them either Darla and was actually shocked as all get out to know the extent of what some of them believe. Like the whole huge sex traffic cannibal ring thing. WTF. My brother started looking them up too, and was a little bit shocked but, he said, not really, that these days people believe about anything.
