If you guessed Titus, you'd be right.
The garage ghost cat, the escapee, the cat who is good with his paws.
I can't recall now when exactly I went out to find an empty trap he was supposed to be in, one morning. It was so hot, I remember, because I raced back from McMinnville, after taking cats to the clinic (he was supposed to be among them) and spent hours tearing apart the garage looking for him.
Anyhow, I put his girlfriends empty trap, with paper she'd peed on, out in front of the garage door last night. She's the torti from the Bellinger colony fixed yesterday. When I went into the garage later, I caught a glimpse of him, in the rafters and quickly closed up the garage.
I put the trap I'd had set for him, constantly, against the cat door exit, hoping he'd dash for the exit through the trap but he didn't.
A little later I opened the kitchen door to the garage, and he was right there and about to run hide again, when I said "Titus, hey!" He stopped and stared at me, for a moment, then came right to me. He wanted picked up, held, petted. Ok.
Anyhow, I put him in a trap. I would have let him spend the night with his girlfriend in the bathroom recuperating from surgery before I took her back up to the Bellinger colony, but she would have hated that.
Tomorrow Titus will be fixed and finally go home.
I am a Cat Woman. My self-appointed mission in life is to save the feline world! To accomplish this mission, I get cats fixed. Perhaps my mission might be slightly delusional. This blog is a mishmash of wishful thinking, rants, experiences as I remember them and of course, cat stories and cat photos. I have a nonprofit now, to help keep the cats here cared for and to fix community cats. Happy Cat Club formed in 2015. Currently, we are on a mission to fix 10,000 cats.
