The Seven Cats Fixed Monday

I took seven cats to be fixed Monday.  Five of them were females, two were males.  Four came from Sweet Home, 2 from Lebanon and 1 from Corvallis.

The two Lebanon girls I got in on an emergency basis because both had been strays and both were in danger of immediate pregnancy.

Rascal came from a friend of the trailer park colony.  She's now a big spay neuter advocate.

Rascal is young and was pregnant at spay.
Callie is also from a big time Lebanon spay neuter advocate who found her being fed as a porch cat at a friends place.  She's now fixed.
I stopped at the Egg Place colony and trapped the last unfixed cat there---a very large male.  His counterpart, fixed last fall, is now a big baby and sleeps in a bed on a trailer porch.

Let's hope Tron moves into the big baby category soon.  Right now, he's just big.  Really really big!

Tron was neutered Monday.

The other three Sweet Home cats came from a busy household.  An adult daughter left them there.  I took two of the teenagers to Portland over a week ago and they're now fixed and in homes.  These other three will remain there, at least for now.

Both girls were in heat.

Mona, fixed Monday.

Moochi, also a girl, fixed Monday

Tigger, a boy

The Corvallis kitty fixed is young, not much more than a kitten, but was already in heat.  She and her brother were born in a chicken coop, the young woman said.

Princess Padme, fixed Monday.  Her brother will be fixed next week.

I returned the four Sweet Home cats Tuesday morning.  I tried to get going early but wasn't that successful and then caretakers wanted to talk.  I had to hit the road for North Bend.  I was to get my partial denture yesterday.

I finally got home and tried to quickly clean out the car and get moving.  In the hubbub of doing that and getting a zillion texts and messages, I somehow forgot to take my purse, or any extra clothes.  I was spending the night at my brother's place.

I did not discover my purse was not in the car until I stopped to get lunch outside Veneta and realized I had no money.  At least the car had gas.

I got to the dental office one minute before my appointment.  The appointment was fast, as the partial fit perfectly with almost no adjustment required.  I picked up keys to my brothers place at his workshop, then headed there and languished bored until he got home from work at 7:30 p.m.   He works a lot of hours.  His wife is gone, off on a church mission to El Salvador for two weeks.

We watched TV a couple hours on and off then it was bed time.  He has to get up early and go to work again.   He keeps a brutal schedule for someone nearly my age.    He was gone before I got downstairs this morning.   I left for home by 7:00 a.m..  He'd left me some gas money on the counter.  Very sweet of him since my purse with any money or cards sat at home.

I came home Route F since I get the best gas mileage on that route, avoiding the freeway altogether.  And I make the best time.

I love my new teeth.  They still feel foreign in my mouth, but I can eat well with them.  I lisp some.  The dentist said to read out loud to get used to talking with them.   I'll read to my cats!  They bore easily however.

Hooray for supportive family, new teeth and the work you do.

  2. I would have freaked out over leaving my purse behind. Paranoia over having no identification on hand has been passed on by my husband. Heh... I'm so glad things turned out well for you. I wish the best for all these beautiful kitties and your brother and sister-in-law. Take care, my dear.
