Two Long Days

Whoa!

14 cats fixed Monday at two clinics.

Then yesterday it was a trip to the coast clinic with Mooki and Charlie.

Whoa.

I dropped off five of the Tangent barn cats, plus a Sweet Home girl and a Waterloo girl Monday morning at whs, then headed straight to Heartland with seven more cats, 6 of them teens from the Tangent place, tamed and from previous litters of the barn girls, plus a big feral barn boy from same barn she'd trapped in the night.  So 12 of the 14 were from the Tangent barn.

Here are the seven Heartland fixed Tangent cats:

Gretal, a girl

Hansel, a boy

Muffin, a girl

Oscar, a boy

Simba, another boy

Sinbad, the big feral boy

And, The Licker, a girl
I don't have the greatest photos of the seven fixed at whs but here is what I have.

Buffington, a buff tabby tux boy

Bob, a girl

Mars, a girl

Venus and Orion, both adult orange tabby tux girls, Venus on the left, face not seen, lactating, Orion not

This is Uma, a  Sweet Home girl

And Apple, a Waterloo girl, one of the two found after an RV was dumped on a property.  The other girl and her kittens, found  same place, the finder got into a shelter.
The five orange two week olds, from the Tangent barn, had decided I was their mom since neither Orion nor Venus took an interest in caring for them.  In reality, Mars, the other orange tabby female, or even Bob, the brown tabby female, was likely their mom.  They are now in Brownsville, being bottle fed by a kind hearted woman.   The Tangent barn lady also trapped seven kittens, five of them orange, in the ceiling of the shop out there.  She has them in the house and is going to try to tame them.   Still two teens and those 7 kittens, once old enough, will need fixed out there.  And the five bottle babes, once they're big enough.

Monday I also drove one of the three sick teens, Dagwood, to Wilsonville.  Animal Rescue and Care took him on.  He's such a love.  If only all three could get over that horrible diarrhea.

Yesterday, very early, after getting to bed early, believe it or not, I took off to the coast clinic with Charlie and Mooki.  Both boys got dentals.  Charlie needed only one extraction while Mooki needed three.  Charlie got prednisone for his spinal issues and convenia too, plus a bath and his ears cleaned.  The vet said his eye could remain the way it is, and not be removed and sewn shut.

Mooki's quite old now, 13 plus, and Charlie's age is anybody's guess.

Charlie goes to a home second week of October.  Finally.  Now that his medical care is done with.  Heartland initially gave him the once over, after he came up my driveway a hot mess, vaccinating and testing him.   So he's good to move on with his life.  Charlie with his sweet ways and easy going nature was a big hit at the vet clinic on the coast yesterday.

Mooki on the way home from his dental.  That cyst above his left eye, the vet said just leave it, will come back if removed.  It's fluid filled.

Two long days that is for sure!

    1. I did sleep three hours at the coast in my car, laid out in the back. I started out reading in the back, but that didn't last long, was soon asleep. I have quite a nice sleeping arrangement now, set up for the back of the car.
