Happy Cat Club had a rather busy month in May. Here are the stats.
They do not include costs or hours yet.
I'll get to that part of it.
Anyhow, here are cats helped numbers for May:
HCC stats for May. Does not include yet costs or hours.
Total Cats Fixed: 36 (24M/12F)
Total Cats Relinquished: 11 Willow, Bliz and Snow, (3 kittens from Water St.)
Cayenne, Elton, Kiki, Lucky, Willow and Pepper from Mtn. Shadows
Preg. Gray tabby from Fir View Villa
Shiloh, from Chicago St., Albany
One Cat Food assist: 1 bag Meow Mix dry to resident in Mtn. Shadows
Keeping track of cats helped numbers for each month at each Sweet Home trailer park:
Total Fixed Mountain Shadows: 21 (15M/6F)
Relinquished Mtn. Shadows: 6 (Cayenne, Elton, Kiki, Lucky), Pepper (mat cat, stray) and Willow, abandoned (euthanized at Heartland due to oral cancer)
Total Fixed Fir View Villa: 9 (7M/2F)
Relinquished Fir View Villa: Pregnant gray tabby
Five of the 11 relinquished went to Heartland Humane. :Last Thursday when I was there picking up two kittens I took to be fixed I saw that Cayenne had an adoption hold on her. I so hope that goes through.
Three of the relinquished cats went to a Wilsonville foster woman who then works the cats into other rescues and shelters, when space opens. She got Lucky, Kiki and Elton into Cat Adoption and I heard Elton may already have gotten a home.
Same woman found a rescue to take the pregnant gray tabby, from the one trailer park. It was a Beaverton rescue specializing in pregnant and new moms with their kittens.
The other two relinquished kitties, Pepper, the mat cat, and Shiloh, the pregnant gray kitty, went to Felines First, although Felines First volunteer ultimately decided to adopt Pepper herself. Yay!
Darn good month's work, I'd say.
I am a Cat Woman. My self-appointed mission in life is to save the feline world! To accomplish this mission, I get cats fixed. Perhaps my mission might be slightly delusional. This blog is a mishmash of wishful thinking, rants, experiences as I remember them and of course, cat stories and cat photos. I have a nonprofit now, to help keep the cats here cared for and to fix community cats. Happy Cat Club formed in 2015. Currently, we are on a mission to fix 10,000 cats.

Bless you for all of the work that you do :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteAn excellent effort. It must make you feel that you are not alone in caring when clearly many others do too and put in an effort.
ReplyDeleteThere are lots of people helping out and many have things they are good at, things they're not, and when we mesh at each doing what we can, leaving what we are not good at, to those who are, works out well. I'm no good at adoptions. I know that, so I don't take in cats in trouble if I don't have a place for them to go.
DeleteAn EXCELLENT month's work. Again.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm happy with it.
DeletePepper got adopted. I also say Yay! to that. :)
ReplyDeleteAnother good month. You do amazing work.
Yes, Pepper got a great home with a big time animal lover, and a groomer, who can keep her mats at bay.
DeleteMost impressive. I'm so happy and hope every kitty gets the best outcome possible. Well done, my dear.
ReplyDeleteHey thanks, me too, with the adoptions of those relinquished. I always hope for the best.
DeleteYes indeed... bless you! Those critters there are indeed fortunate.
ReplyDeleteWell, you never know if they'll get a good home or not, it's a crap shoot, at best, but I can hope.
DeleteAmazing. Impressive. And an example of what love and hard work can do. Well done, my friend.
